Wallace M. Iverson

Wallace M. Iverson, age 97, resident of Binford, ND passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2020 at Edgewood Vista Memory Care in Fargo, ND.

Wallace was born on the family farm 4 miles from Roseglen, ND on March 10, 1923 to Helmer and Laura (Bjerke) Iverson.  He attended country school and graduated Cooperstown High School in 1941.   He married Herdis Constance Stalvik on June 17, 1945 at Mabel Lutheran Church in Sutton, ND.  Wallace farmed in Griggs County his entire life.  He started with his dad and brother before he and Herdis moved to the farm where they lived for over 40 years.  The couple made their next home in Binford where they lived for 32 years.  They spent 3 winters in Arizona and 28 winters at their home in Texas.  Wallace served on the church board, school board and elevator board.  He enjoyed dancing, playing cards and all things related to family and farming.  For the last two years Wallace and Herdis lived in Edgewood Vista of Fargo.

Surviving members of the family include his wife of 74 years, 11 months and 2 days Herdis, sons Jerry (Connie), Gene (Alita) and Dave (LaRae), grandchildren Sonya (Ken) Kraft, Jack (Heather) Iverson, Eric Iverson, Ciara (Ben) Clark and Brandon (Naomi) Iverson, great grandchildren Savannah (Baird) Cuppy, Alexander Kraft, McKenzie Davis, Kacie & Katherine Iverson, Sherman Geer, Jacob & Carli Clark, Landon Hohertz, Lachlan & Lyla Iverson, sister-in-law Marvel Mossestad.

Wallace was preceded in death by his parents, brother Howard, sisters Gladys, Vera, Evelyn & Mildred.

Because of the Covid 19 virus, there will be a private family service at the Binford Cemetery.
