Shirley M Olson

Shirley M. Olson died September 28, 2020, at Good Samaritan Society in Lakota.  Born in 1938 in McVille, North Dakota, she was a 1956 graduate of Lakota High School and subsequently received her teaching degree from Mayville Teachers College.

Shirley is preceded in death by her parents Luke and Martha Dion, her sister Caroline, brother Anthony, and her husbands Eugene and Stanley.

She is survived by her sisters Betty, Gail, Lela, Vicki and Peggy, as well as brothers Roy, Peter, Wesley, and Kurtis.  Her five children, two stepchildren, one grandchild, and two step grandchildren mourn her loss.

A graveside service will be on Thursday, October 1, at 1 p.m. in the Michigan Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to a local animal shelter or to a nonprofit of the donor's choice.
