Robert "Bob" Robinson

Robert “Bob” Robinson, age 64, resident of Anchorage, AK, passed away Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, AK from pancreatic cancer.

Robert Clayton Robinson was born January 18, 1957 in Michigan, ND, the son of Maurice and Mary Lou (Anderson) Robinson.  He grew up in Michigan and graduated from Michigan High School in 1975.  He then attended college at North Dakota State School of Forestry in Bottineau, graduating in 1977.  He loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman and bicyclist.  Following college, he cycled across several US states and provinces in Canada for the adventure.  Bob moved to Alaska in 1985 and worked as a commercial painter.  He enjoyed many fishing adventures throughout Alaska and held the moniker, Bob “Ready to Fish” Robinson.  From ice fishing on Lake Louise, Kenai Kings, to Situk Steelhead, he loved going after a good lunker.  Recently he found his love for biking again too and put on lots of miles around Anchorage.  He also enjoyed working on his bikes, reading, and following sports.

Bob is survived by his 6 brothers, Tom of Michigan, ND, Bill (Peggy) of Mandan, ND, Maury (Robae) of Anchorage, AK, Dan of Englewood, CO, John (Bobbie) of Palmer, AK, and Steve of Fargo, ND; his 3 sisters, Sarah of Fargo, ND, Liz (Steve) of Evergreen, CO, and Emily of Parker, CO; 16 nieces and nephews, Bob, Amy & Charlie, Taylor & Ansley, Jessica & Alise, Reece & Ramey, Jessica & Joshua, and Jhacie, Jake, Wyatt, Aries, & Brooks; great nieces & nephews; and several cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Maurice and Mary Lou Robinson.

A graveside service will be held in his hometown of Michigan, ND on Friday, July 16 at 1:00 p.m. at the Michigan Cemetery.
