Omer A. Hager

Omer A. Hager, age 78, resident of rural Michigan, ND, passed away at home surrounded by his family on Tuesday, June 9, 2020.

Omer was born March 12, 1942 in Lakota, ND, to Abraham and Anna Hager.  Omer was the oldest of Abraham and Anna’s nine children.  Omer grew up on the family farm near Whitman, ND and attended school in Whitman.  Omer loved farming and livestock.  He had a great passion for his International tractors and his 1957 Chevy Bel Air.  He also enjoyed fishing and hunting.  Omer loved his family and friends, and loved to tell some great stories.  He had a heart of gold and was the kindest, most giving person anyone could ever meet.

Omer is preceded in death by his parents, Abraham and Anna Hager; 2 sisters, Maryann Irion and Tina Swanson; and 2 nieces, Kristie Swanson and Tammy Vanderbush.

Omer is survived by his siblings, Alex (Fran) Hager of Michigan, ND, Raymond Hager of Fargo, ND, Albert (Kim) Hager of Grand Forks, ND, Lillian Hager of Forman, ND, Rennae Burke of Fargo, ND, and Audrey Hager of Fargo, ND.  He is also survived by one niece, seven nephews, many great nieces & great nephews, and one great-great niece.

We all love and miss you brother Omer, may you rest in peace.

The Funeral Service for Omer will be held at the Aaker Funeral Home, Lakota, ND, on Saturday, June 13, 2020 at 2:00 p.m.  Interment will be in the Michigan Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, beginning at 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
