Marilyn J. (Swenson) Poole, age 78, resident of Finley, ND, died Sunday, September 17, 2023 at Bethany Homes in Fargo, ND.

Marilyn graduated from Finley High School in 1964 and attended Dakota Business School and NDSSS at Wahpeton, where she graduated as an LPN. She worked at a variety of facilities until she found her passion in caring for veterans at the Fargo VA Medical Center for over 30 years. She married Ernie Poole in 1983 and divorced in 1993.

Marilyn leaves to mourn her sister, Cathy Swenson of McVille, ND; her aunt, Betty Johnson of Arthur, ND; her uncles, Lloyd Rud in North Carolina, Roy Rud in Minnesota, and Zane & his wife Mary Beth (Clark) Rud in Cooperstown, ND. A special thanks to her cousin, Rebecca and Greg Hauge of Fargo, for their support, compassion, and assistance throughout the years.

A private family graveside service will be held at Sheyenne Valley Lutheran Church, rural Finley, ND.
