Lori R. Borah

Lori R. Borah, age 64, resident of Aneta, ND, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at her home in Aneta.

Lori Renae Tande was born December 1, 1957 in McVille, ND, the youngest child of Melvin and Adeline Tande’s eight children.  She attended Aneta High School, graduating in 1976.  Lori was active in the school band attaining first trumpet chair, was co-captain of the girls’ basketball team and awarded most valuable player in 1975, and she was also a cheerleader for the boys basketball team.  In 1977 Lori graduated from Wahpeton School of Science receiving her LPN nursing certificate, later she also graduated from Miles Community College in 1993 receiving her RN nursing associate degree.  Throughout her nursing career, Lori held many different healthcare positions including Director of Nursing at the Warroad Care Center.  She was always dedicated to caring for and helping all in her care.  For all the lives Lori touched she will be very missed.

In 1979 Lori married Wally Borah, they had four children; Brandon, Blake, Kyle, and Kurt.  Lori and Wally lived in Minot, ND, Valley City, ND, Sidney, MT, Anchorage, AK, Roseau, MN, and finally moved back to Aneta in 2017.

Lori enjoyed traveling, fishing, boating, going to various concerts, and time with family and friends.

Lori is preceded in death by her son, Blake; father, Melvin Tande; mother, Adeline Tande; sister, Gwen Tande; nephew, Tyler Tande; niece, Dawn Hanson; niece, Christine Tande; and mother-in-law, Winifred Borah.

Lori requested that she be cremated and have a graveside service at Silent Hill Cemetery, rural Aneta, ND, on Friday, June 17, 2022 at 11:00 a.m.
