Loren Lee Briss

Loren Lee Briss, age 79, Jamestown, ND passed away Friday morning, October 16, 2020 at Sanford Hospital, Fargo, ND with family by his side.

Loren was born May 25, 1941 in rural McHenry, ND the son of Clarence and Ella (Walen) Briss.  He attended country school through 8th grade and graduated from Binford High School.  He was united in marriage to the love of his life, Elaine Vigesaa on August 25, 1962 in Glenfield, ND.  The couple made their home on the farm near Binford where Loren started farming after the passing of his father.  They raised 6 children on this farm.  Loren continued to farm until 1984.  He then worked for the Griggs County Telephone Company until his retirement.

He enjoyed farming, hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with his family and friends. His loving heart, his quiet, kind and generous personality along with his contagious smile will be greatly missed by all.

Surviving members of the family include his wife Elaine, 6 children; Martin (Mary) of Enderlin, ND, Lanette (Dean) Diede of Jamestown, ND, Neil of Chandler, AZ, Loren J. (Gia) of Enderlin, ND, Rick (Lisa) of Jamestown, ND and Cathy (Dion) Briss of Jamestown, ND, 14 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, brother Don (Renae) of McHenry, ND, sisters Carol Miller of Cooperstown, ND, Avis (Orville) Pittenger of Cooperstown, ND and sister-in-law Darlene Alfson of Binford, ND.

Loren was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Fred & Marvin.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
