Larry D. Flohaug

Larry Donald Flohaug, age 75, passed away Thursday, June 1, 2023 at Veracruz, Panama, after declining health.

Larry was born May 10, 1948 in McVille, ND, the son of Clarence and Laurene (Meyer) Flohaug.  Larry graduated from McVille High School in 1966.  Larry joined the United States Air Force February 1967.  Larry was discharged December 1990 as Senior Master Sergeant.  He worked with weather communications.  Larry was stationed at various Air Force Bases including Spokane, WA, Viet Nam, Panama, Omaha, NE, Colorado Springs, CO, and also many TDYs.  Larry and Norma remained in Panama for the remainder of his life.

Following his retirement of the Air Force, Larry worked as Slot Machine Technician of Air Force MWR.  Larry was very talented at fixing anything.  Larry and Norma were fantastic tour guides on our trips to visit them in Panama.

Larry married Ruth Eddington in Spokane, WA.  From that union Richard Allen Flohaug was born August 29, 1969.

Larry married Norma July 18, 1977 in Panama City, Panama.

Larry will be deeply missed and remembered by his wife, Norma of Veracruz, Panama; son, Rick Flohaug of Grand Forks, ND; brothers, Dale (Gail) Flohaug of Grand Forks, ND and Roy (Laura) Flohaug of Remer, MN; granddaughters, Calli (Adam) Jones of Brunswick, GA and Amber Flohaug Grand Forks, ND; niece, Cheryl (Tom) Parslow and Kassandra of Rolla, ND; nephews, Greg (Kelsey) Flohaug Coon Rapids, MN, and Trevor Flohaug and Travis, Morgan, Josh & Kason of Warsaw, MN.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents.

The Memorial Service for Larry will be Sunday, June 18, 2023 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church rural McVille, ND  at 1 p.m.
