Kevin John Messner, 58, passed away January 10, 2020 at Sanford in Fargo, from pneumonia complications, with his family by his side.
Kevin was born February 21, 1961 in Grand Forks to John and Margy Messner. He grew up in Grand Forks, Carrington, and Tolna. He had a 1968 Dodge RT that he cherished. Even though Kevin was disabled with blindness and a fall that left him in a wheelchair, he loved to visit, fish, and watch Hee Haw. He had a great sense of humor. Kevin accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, and loved to go to church services.
Kevin married Vicki Olsen, and they began their family when their son, Jason, was born. Kevin was employed by the city of Jamestown.
Kevin is survived by his son Jason of Denver, CO, his parents of Pekin, ND, sister Bernadine (Dale) Burke of Thompson, ND brothers Brian (Merlene) of Salt Lake City, UT, Martin (Dana) of Myton, UT and Dale of Pekin, ND, his grandchildren, cousins, and many nephews and nieces.
Kevin was preceded in death by Vicki Messner Ketterling, paternal grandparents Martin and Nettie Messner, maternal grandparents Algernon and Vivian Dahl, and an infant brother Wayne John.
The celebration of life will be held Saturday, January 18, 2020 at 11 a.m. at New Life Fellowship, rural Hamar, ND.
