Janette R. Moen

Janette R. Moen, age 82, resident of Michigan, ND, died Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at her home in Michigan, ND.

Janette Roberta Anderson was born was born June 19, 1939 in Nelson County, ND, the daughter of Mortinus and Florence (Mehenke) Anderson.  She was baptized in 1941 and confirmed in 1953.  She graduated in 1956 from Michigan High School.  Janette married Donald Hamre in November of 1957.  Donald died in 1983.  Janette married Ivernon Moen in November of 1991.  Ivernon died in 2010.  Janette was a member of the Michigan Lutheran Church and the American Legion Auxiliary in Michigan.

Janette will be deeply missed by her 5 children, Ellen (Paul) Ringdahl of Michigan, Colleen (Roger) Waltz of Langdon, ND, Vicki (Pete) Basley of Ellsworth, ME, Joe Hamre (Susan Stein) of Carbondale, CO, and Denise (Mason) Guilbault of Buffalo, ND; 7 grandchildren, Donald (Stephanie) Waltz, Stephanie (Wade) Haugland, Daniel Waltz, Brent (Deanne) Basley, Heather Basley, David Guilbault, and Justin Guilbault; 5 great grandchildren, Isla, Natalie, Zoe, Cooper, and Kiera; brother, Charles (Rose) Anderson of Victor, MT; aunt, Lillian Clark of Grand Forks, ND; sister-in-law, Rosella Anderson of Grand Forks, ND; brother-in-law, Dennis Frost of Turner, OR; and several nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Donald and Ivernon; 2 brothers, Frederick and Edward; and 6 sisters, Pearl Gilbertson, Katherine Ouradnik, Freida Schmidt, Rosalie Anderson, Anna Anderson, and Rosemary Frost.

The Funeral Service will be held at Michigan Lutheran Church, Michigan, ND, on Monday, March 7, 2022 at 11:00 a.m.  Interment will be in the spring at the Michigan Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at the Aaker Funeral Home of Lakota, ND, on Sunday, beginning at 5:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m.  Visitation will continue at the church on Monday, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
