James Gauthier Obituary

James Joseph Gauthier, age 58, resident of Edmore, ND, passed away unexpectedly at home on December 5, 2021 after a brief illness.  Jim was born July 10, 1963 in Manitowoc, WI to Omar and Dorothy Gauthier.  He attended school in Manitowoc, graduating with the class of 1981 from Lincoln High School.  On June 4, 1988 Jim married the love of his life, Christine Rollo, at Maribel Caves in Denmark, WI.  They renewed their vows in Cabo San Lucas in 2009.  During his professional career, Jim has worked at Kaysun Plastics in Manitowoc, WI, Algoma Hardwoods in Algoma, WI, EVCO Plastics in Oshkosh and DeForest, WI, and Alliance Laundry Systems in Ripon, WI.  At the time of his death, he worked at Marvin Windows in Grafton, ND.  He was an avid sportsman excelling in trapping, fishing, and especially duck hunting.  In 2020 they moved to ND to live out their dreams, something they had wanted to do since 1990.  Jim was a great mentor and loved to share his love for hunting and fishing with anyone that had a passion for it.

Jim is survived by his wife, Chris; Jim’s family: mother, Dorothy; sister, Lisa (Brad) and their children, Rachel and Andrew of Sturgeon Bay; 2 brothers, Mike (Jill) Green Bay and Joe (Becky) Two Rivers; Christine’s family: Carla (Dale) Schneider, Mike (Debbie) Rollo of West Bend, Diane (Dale) Baeten Crivitz, niece Kari (Jeremiah) and great nephew Jackson, all of Wisconsin.

Jim is preceded in death by his father, Omar Gauthier; Chris’s parents, Philip and Lillian Rollo; grandparents; aunts; uncles; and cousins.

Chris would like to thank all of the people who have reached out to her during this difficult time, including Chris Brunner, Tim Ryan, Boone, Scott and Pam Brekke, and so many other people who loved Jim during his time with us.  He will forever be missed.
