Gordon L. Schroeder

Gordon L. Schroeder, 74, of Henderson, Nevada, passed away April 21, 2023 in Henderson, Nevada.

Gordon Lynn Schroeder was born May 14, 1948 in Grand Forks, ND the son of L.L. (Lynn) Schroeder and Mary Gordon Schroeder.  He was raised at Lakota, ND and attended Lakota Schools, graduating in 1966, where he participated in all sports activities.  He graduated from Valley City State University in 1970.  He received his Masters degree from North Dakota State University in 1975.  He was involved with the Catholic School Systems in Fargo, ND.  He later worked in Human Relations with several banking institutions.  He lived in many locations over a long career with GE Capital and Cargill, including Minneapolis, MN, Milwaukee, WI, and Munich, Germany.  He retired to Henderson, Nevada.

He loved to spend time with his grandchildren in California with his partner, Sherry Malafronte.  He loved all sporting events and was an avid golfer.

He is survived by his partner, Sherry Malafronte of Henderson, NV; son, Jonathon and wife Christina; grandchildren, Landon and Noelle, all of Piedmont, CA.

He was preceded by his parents and 1 nephew, Jason Schroeder.

A Private Graveside service will be held at the Lakota Cemetery.
