Gary L. Ruud

Gary L. Ruud, age 56, resident of McVille, ND, died Friday, October 29, 2021 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND.

Gary Lewis Ruud was born March 17, 1965 at Mercy Hospital in Devils Lake, ND, the son of Harold and Clarine (Helland) Ruud.  Gary was raised on the family farm.  He attended school at Michigan, ND, graduating from high school in 1984.  He worked for area farmers, did some custom harvesting, and other various jobs.  He entered the Nelson County Health System Care Center on June 11, 2015, where he resided with his mother.  Gary enjoyed watching politics on television or discussing politics with anyone who would listen.  He enjoyed playing Bingo with his mother at the care center and riding the rickshaw bike.

Gary will be deeply missed by his mother, Clarine of McVille, ND; brother, Daniel of Michigan, ND; and a sister, Helen (Allen) Smaage of McVille, ND.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harold.

The Funeral Service will be held at New Luther Valley Free Lutheran Church, McVille, ND, on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at 11:00 a.m.  Interment will be at the Center Lutheran Cemetery, rural McVille.  Visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
