Doyal A. Diseth

Doyal A. Diseth, age 67, resident of Edmore, ND, died Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at his home in Edmore.

Doyal Arvil Diseth was born January 10, 1952 in Devils Lake, ND, the son of Luvern and Darlene (Braaten) Diseth.  He was raised and educated at Edmore, graduating from Edmore High School in 1970.  While in high school, Doyal was a member of the drama club and the marching band.  He then attended Mayville State College and Joseph’s School of Hair Design.  Doyal lived in Las Vegas for several years before moving to Fargo, where he worked at various hair salons and REM.  Doyal was actively involved in theater at college, Las Vegas, and Fargo.  He enjoyed directing and acting in plays, and would do anything to make people laugh.  He moved back to Edmore in 2009 and worked at the Developmental Center in Grafton.  At the time of his death he was employed at the Edmore Memorial Rest Home.

Doyal is survived by 3 brothers, Donavan & his wife, Debra of Edmore and their children, Jessie (Wade) Harpestad, Joshua Diseth, and Jordan (Megan) Diseth; Scott & his wife, Sally of Edmore and their daughters, Becky Diseth and Sondra Diseth; Shane & his wife, Lisa of Devils Lake and their son, Sawyer (friend, Rachael); 2 great nieces, Jadyn & Payton Harpestad; his aunts & uncles, Marlin & Jean Egeland, Mercedes Schmidt, and Robert Silva; many cousins; and his beloved cat, Hairy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Luvern & Darlene Diseth; his grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The Memorial Service for Doyal will be held at Concordia Lutheran Church of Edmore, ND, on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 10:30 a.m.  Interment will be in the spring at the Edmore Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
