Don A Lovejoy

Don Arthur Lovejoy, age 80, Aneta, ND died Saturday October 26, 2019 in the Griggs County Care Center of Cooperstown, ND.

Don was born in Northwood, ND on July 23, 1939 the son of Ernest and Annie (Hillesland Brudvig) Lovejoy.  He married Phyllis Gaden October 14, 1966 in the Trinity Church of Binford, ND.  They had 4 daughters and made their home in McVille, ND.  He worked at the county shop in Nelson County for 39 years as an equipment operator.  After retiring from Nelson County he volunteered his time at Stump Lake.  Don enjoyed old cars & pickups, spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, visiting with friends at Cenex and dancing with Jodi Rae at the Care Center.

He is survived by his 4 daughters and their children; Tammy (Jerry) Rahlf of Cooperstown, ND, Cody & Brady, Becky (Randy) Gerads of Albany, MN, Nicholas & Heather, Marcy (Larry) Wilder of Colfax, WI, Miranda, (Slevin, Oriahna), Holly Lovejoy of Devils Lake, ND, Dallas, his brothers Roy (Joyce) Lovejoy of Yucaipa, CA and Allen (Mary) Lovejoy of Mounds View, MN and step sister-in-law Myrna Brudvig of North Oaks, MN, along with many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, step brothers Glen Brudvig and Les Brudvig.

Memorial services for Don will be held on Sunday, November 3, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the Cooperstown Funeral Chapel, Cooperstown, ND.  Visitation will be one hour prior to services in the chapel.  Interment will be in the Silent Hill Cemetery, Aneta, ND.
