Diane Wendlick

Diane Wendlick, age 73, passed away peacefully in her home in Mary Esther, Florida on Thursday, September 12, 2019.

Diane was born May 22, 1946 in Northwood, ND, the daughter of Kenneth and Loretta (Torgerson) Wendlick.  She graduated from Finley High School in 1964.

She was not afraid of hard work.  Starting as a teenager, she worked in the public service industry.  Later in life she worked as a custodian at the Valley City County Courthouse and the Page High School.  She moved to Florida in 2002, where she was employed as a Supervisor of Facilities Management at the Fort Walton Beach Medical Center.

She only wanted to be remembered as a friend and mother who loved her family and friends deeply.

Surviving members of the family include her sons, Kevin Smeiles of Broomfield, CO and Brett Smeiles of Gilbert, AZ; her mother, Loretta Wendlick of Finley, ND; two sisters, Denise (Donald) Huso and Delores (Mike) Kvislen both of Finley, ND; her companion Randy McClure; three nephews and a niece.

She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth, and infant brother, David.
