Curtiss L. Hanson, age 84, resident of Pekin, ND, died Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at the NCHS Hospital in McVille, ND.
Curtiss was born December 9, 1938 in Roseau, MN, the son of Glen and Luella Hanson. After the untimely death of his father, Luella and Curt, along with his 2 brothers, moved to California. Curt met his future wife, Jane, in California. In 2001 they moved to Pekin, ND, Jane’s hometown. All of Curt’s Gin players are ready to play.
Curt is survived by his wife of 42 years, Jane Hanson; son, Glen Hanson; grandsons, Trevor and Jason Hanson; granddaughter, Desiree Hanson; half daughter, Debbie DeCoteau; half son, Scott Piepmeyer; grandchildren, Janie, Joey, Cheyenne, Michael, Chloe, Michaeleen, and Rosemary; great grandchildren, Joey and Arthur; brothers-in-law, Joe (Diane) Ensrud and Dave (Nancy) Blechinger; and niece, Julie.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Luella Hanson; and son, Steve Hanson.
A celebration of Curt’s life will be held at the Stanley-Iverson Funeral Home of McVille, ND, on Saturday, June 24, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Interment will follow at the Pekin Cemetery, Pekin, ND.
