Arlene Scott Obituary

Arlene F. Scott, age 89, resident of McVille, ND, formerly of Devils Lake, ND, died Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at the NCHS Care Center in McVille.

Arlene Fae Bragg was born September 12, 1931 in Devils Lake, ND, the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Lichtenberger) Bragg. She was raised and educated in Devils Lake. Arlene married Ernest Scott. They lived in Brinsmade, ND, for a short time before moving back to Devils Lake, where they raised their 4 children. Arlene had a long, enjoyable career as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Mercy Hospital in Devils Lake. After her retirement she became the joyful caretaker of her grandchildren. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, playing cards, solving word searches and crossword puzzles, and walking.

Arlene is survived by 3 children, LaDonna (Roger) Schwan of Michigan, ND, Mary Alice Ford of Devils Lake, ND, and Joseph (Jill) Scott of Idaho; 10 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest; and her son, Ernest Scott Jr.
