Robert Rude

Robert Rude, age 71 of Tolna, ND passed away Thursday, December 20, 2018 at the Nelson County Health System Hospital in McVille, ND.

He was born Nov 27, 1947 in McVille, ND to Norman and Hazel (Blakis) Rude.  He graduated High School from Tolna Public and then went on to get his degree in Farm Mechanics at NDSSS. While there he met Mary Platt and they were later married in June of ’68.  They had 3 children and lost Mary suddenly in ’82.  He then met and married June Wass in August of ’87.  June had 2 children from a previous marriage. He also suddenly lost June in May ’04.  He met Wilma Davidson and they were currently living on the family farm.

Robert was a volunteer for the Tolna Fire Department, served in the American Legion for 45 years after serving in the ND Air National Guard, he was an avid outdoors man.  He enjoyed watching his Nasar and spending time with his dogs when not farming or trucking for Altendorf Trucking. 

He will be remembered and missed by his mother Hazel Rude, Tolna, significant other Wilma Davidson, 5 children Paulette (Tony) Janusz, Thief River Falls, MN, Donna (Phil) Emmert, Tampa, FL, Donald (Sheila) Rude, Tolna, Brian Vanek, Wahpeton, Richard (Nikki) Rude West Fargo, ND, Michelle Altendorf, Warwick, 15 grandkids, and 3 great grandchildren a brother David Rude, Tolna, and a sister Lois (Dale) Muhlenpoh, Woodbury, MN. Many nieces and nephews.  He is proceeded in death by his father Norman Rude, Wives Mary Rude and June Rude.

Funeral services will be Friday, December 28, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Sigdal Lutheran Church, rural Tolna, ND.  Visitation has been Cancelled.  Interment will be at Sigdal Church Cemetery.
