LaMar D. Anderson

LaMar D. Anderson, age 70, resident of Edmore, ND, died Saturday, October 6, 2018 at his home near Edmore, ND.

LaMar Darrel Anderson was born May 1, 1948 at Hallock, MN, the son of Harry W. and Clara (Roppel) Anderson.  After his birth, the family moved to a farm near Edmore, ND.  He was baptized at the Bethany Lutheran Church of Edmore and was a graduate of Edmore High School.  LaMar married Betty Arens on April 8, 1972.  LaMar farmed near Edmore all of his life.  He absolutely loved farming, and retired just a few years ago.  He continued living on the farm and had more time to enjoy his other passion, which was fishing.

LaMar will be missed by his 3 children, Rodney (Erika) Anderson of Cape Coral, FL, Steven (Julie) Anderson of Manvel, ND, and Jodi (Nelson) Castillo of Bemidji, MN; 5 grandchildren, Blake & Parker Anderson, Logan & Lexie Anderson, and Sol Castillo; 2 brothers, Ron (Mary) Anderson of Dickinson, ND and Virgil Anderson of Lakota, ND; 1 sister, Esther (Darrel) Leith of Lakota, ND; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Gary Anderson; and brother & sister-in-law, Rodger & Luanne Anderson.

The Memorial Service for LaMar will be held at Living Word Free Lutheran Church of Edmore on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at 11:00 a.m.  Visitation will be held at the Aaker Funeral Home of Lakota on Wednesday, beginning at 5:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m.  Visitation will continue at the church on Thursday, beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
