Grace A. Saxberg

Grace went to be with our Lord on July 7th, 2019 at Ave Maria Village, Jamestown, ND. She was Seventy-five years of age.

Grace Lunn was born on May 5, 1944 in Hannaford, ND to Maurice and Nevo (Bosworth) Lunn.  She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran church. She graduated from Hannaford High School in 1963. Grace attended the Valley City State College in Valley City, ND. Grace married Arnold Saxberg in 1963, near Hannaford, ND. They raised four children on the family farm near Jessie, ND. Grace moved to Cooperstown, ND and worked at P&R Pizza and the Griggs County Health Center, until her retirement. Grace later moved to Jamestown, ND. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, going for walks, antique and thrift store shopping, and playing bingo. She had a special love for all of her cats.

She will be sadly missed by her four children: Randy (Kimberly) Saxberg, Maricopa, AZ; Daryl Saxberg, Jamestown, ND; David (Rhonda) Saxberg, Grand Forks, ND; Melinda (Dennis) Halvorson, Doyon, ND; five grandchildren: Sarah (Ty) Bement, Stephanie Saxberg, Lindsey Saxberg, Jesse Saxberg, Jackson Saxberg; Two great-grandchildren: Emma Smith; Kaden Bement; one brother: Ronald J. (Coni) Lunn, Berne, IN; one sister: Gladys Bentz, Moorhead, MN.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Robert J. Lunn.

Memorial services for Grace will be held Friday, July 12, 2019 at 1 p.m. in the Cooperstown Funeral Chapel.  Interment will be in the Hero Cemetery, rural Cooperstown, ND.
