Robert
G. Keitzman, age 77, resident of Lakota, ND, died
Monday, April 5, 2010 at Altru Hospital in Grand
Forks, ND.
Robert
was born September 4, 1932 in Illinois Township
of Nelson County on the family homestead, the
son of Jess and Viola (Schultz) Keitzman. He attended
the Lakota school and farmed on the homestead
with his father. Bob married Donna Marie Moxness
on December 15, 1950. The lived their entire life
together on the family homestead. Bob was a man
of many traits; while he spent the summer farming,
he would spend the winters working on oil rigs,
H line, railroad, carpentry, and worked for the
city of Lakota and the state of North Dakota.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, farming,
fishing, hunting, and life. He also was a stock
car driver in many races. He will be dearly missed
by his wife, his family, and Cody.
Bob
will be deeply missed by his wife, Donna Keitzman
of Lakota; 4 children, Marietta (Pat) Shipley
of Lakota, Kathy (Landis) Bjornstad of Bartow,
FL, Randy Keitzman of Lakota, and Coral (Mike)
Rysavy of Michigan, ND; his sister, Lorraine (Bernard)
Doyle of Lakota; 6 grandchildren, Marty Shipley,
Robert Bjornstad, Sabrina Bjornstad, Nikki Thompson,
Krystyne Rysavy, and Natasha Rysavy; 7 great grandchildren,
Anastasia, Dyland & Navada Bjornstad, Shantel
Martinson, Bethany & Mathew Shipley, and Jaiden
Thompson; and many nieces & nephews.
He
was preceded in death by his parents and a brother,
Jess Keitzman Jr.
Bob's
Funeral Service will be held at Lakota Lutheran
Church, Lakota, ND, on Friday, April 9, 2010 at
1:00 p.m. Officiating will be Reverend Reuben
Schnaidt. The organist will be Karen Fowler and
the soloist will be Lonnie Gestson. Private burial
will be at a later date in the Lakota Cemetery.
The casketbearers will be Todd Keitzman, Terry
Keitzman, Mary Shipley, Robert Bjornstad, David
Schindele, and Delbert Schindele. Visitation will
be held at the Aaker Funeral Home of Lakota on
Thursday, April 8, 2010 beginning at 1:00 p.m.
with a time of fellowship for family and friends
at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue at the church
on Friday for one hour prior to the service.
