Ronald Wayne Larson, age 56, a lifetime resident of Kloten, ND passed away June 28, 2011 at the McVille Dam near McVille, ND.

Ron was born April 5, 1955 in McVille the son of LeRoy and Janet (Berg) Larson.  He attended grade school in Kloten and graduated from McVille High School in 1974.  After graduating Ron worked for Wilrich Manufacturing, Sidney Burkland (custom grain hauling), Lloyd Galde, CHS (Kloten Elevator), Sheyenne Tooling in Cooperstown, and most recently Tim Brakke and the Highland Company. 

Ron had a kind heart and loved to visit people.  He always took time to say "Hi" though teasing was his specialty to which we can all attest. He worked hard and played hard. If there was a tough job, he would either help or do it. As a child, Ronnie loved to watch the trains and elevator in Kloten. One day he realized his dream of running the Kloten elevator. His greatest pride was keeping the large star lit atop the Kloten elevator at Christmas time. He was always willing to help anyone in need.  In 56 years, Ron didn't travel far but he touched all our lives. We will never forget him.   

Ron is survived by his mother Janet Larson of Kloten, ND; 6 brothers Leslie (Nikki) Larson of Garrison, ND, Duane (Linda) Larson of Larimore, ND, Elwood (Jennifer) Larson of McVille, ND, Larry Larson of Channel View, TX, Bruce Larson of West Fargo, ND, and Dean (Marcie) Larson of Oakes, ND; 2 sisters Janis (Greg) Kueber of Aneta, ND and Julie (Gary) Lunde of Cooperstown, ND; Numerous nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.

Ron is preceded in death by his father, grandparents Lars and Thea Larson and Arnold and Ella Berg.

Funeral services for Ron will be Saturday, July 2, 2011 at 11:00AM in the McVille Lutheran Church, McVille, ND.  Visitation will be one hour prior to services in the church.  Interment will be in the Valley Grove Cemetery, rural Kloten, ND.
