Roger
K. Larson, 56, passed away Friday, June 5, 2009 in Boise
, ID.
Roger
was born on March 29, 1953 , to Gerald A. Larson and
Opal (Ekren) Larson. He was baptized and confirmed at
Our Saviors Lutheran Church. He attended grades 1-12
at McVille Public School and graduated from high school
in 1971. He graduated from NDSU in Fargo in 1975
with a B.S. in Civil Engineering. Roger began
work for the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation in Huron, South
Dakota soon after graduation. In 1977 he transferred
to Boise , Idaho and in 1998 he married a fellow engineer,
Leslie Stillwater. He worked at Reclamation until
his death after a sudden and short illness.
He
was a good son, gregarious brother and a generous, kind,
and supportive husband. Roger had many friends
who enjoyed his humor and warmth and he will be greatly
missed by his wife Leslie Stillwater of Boise, ID, his
mother Opal Smaaladen of Aneta, ND, 4 brothers Glen
(Rosalie) Larson of Fosston, MN, Gordon (Rain) Larson
of Acworth, GA, Quentin (Nadine) Larson of Hankinson,
ND and Vernon Larson of Crookston, MN, along with cousins,
1 nephew and 1 niece.
Roger
was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.
Memorial
services will be Thursday,
June 11, 2009
at 10:00
AM in
Our Saviors Lutheran Church, rural Kloten
, ND
. Officiating
will be Reverend Marli Danielson. Organist will be Mary
Lou Krogh. Interment will be in Our Saviors Church Cemetery.
