Oren P. Resendahl, age 89, resident of McVille , ND passed away Friday, October 15, 2010 at the Nelson County Health System – Care Center in McVille, ND.

Oren was born September 14, 1921 in Kloten, ND to Peter and Olga (Knutson) Resendahl. He grew up and attended school in Kloten. Oren served in the United States Army from October 8, 1942 until his discharge on November 22, 1945. He married Iris Urvand on August 18, 1946 at the Sheyenne Lutheran Church. After their marriage they lived and farmed in the Kloten area. Oren was a member of the Ole Semling American Legion Post #135 in McVille.

Oren is survived by his wife Iris of McVille, ND; daughter Linda (Dennis) Brent of Detroit Lakes, MN; son Denny Resendahl of West Fargo, ND; 6 grandchildren Terry, Jennelle, Brenda, Kari, Kelly and Kevin; 10 great grandchildren and 1 brother Harold Resendahl of Washington.

Oren was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother and 2 sisters.

Funeral services for Oren will be Thursday, October 21, 2010 at 11:00 AM in the McVille Lutheran Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to services in the church.  Officiating will be Reverend Marli Danielson.  Organist will be Linda Loe.  Interment will be in the Valley Grove Cemetery, rural Kloten, ND.   Casketbearers will be Kevin Brent, Gregg Nelson, Jason Nelson and Terry Resendahl.  Military Honors by the Ole Semling American Legion Post #135.
