Maxine Mueller, age 94, resident of McVille, ND passed away peacefully on Monday, April 12, 2010 at the Nelson County Health System – Care Center.

Maxine was born September 24, 1915 the daughter of Tom and Lena (Krokum) Hauge in McVille, ND. She attended McVille School and graduated as valedictorian of her class. Maxine married Oscar Mueller on October 18, 1933. They lived and farmed most of their lives south of Pekin, ND. In 1997 the couple moved into McVille. Oscar passed away November 25, 2002.

Maxine was very active in the community. She worked at the Johnson Store of McVille, wrote for the McVille Journal, was a charter member of the Happy Homemaker Club, superintendent of the Sunday school, and a 4H leader. She had a love for flowers and gardening, crafts, music, and collecting antiques. Maxine was a night owl who seemingly never slept.

Maxine will be missed and remembered by her daughter Shari (Royal) Ness of Omaha, NE; son Bryant (Brenda) Mueller of Rolla, ND; daughter-in-law Marie Mueller of Fargo, ND; 6 grandchildren; Brad (Kavitha) Ness, Doug Ness, Chad Ness, Darren Mueller, Angie Mueller, and Chad Mueller.

Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Lowell, and brother Mylo Hauge.
