Laura Irene Stenbro, age 83, resident of Aneta, ND, formerly of McVille and Cooperstown, died Sunday, April 27, 2008 at the Aneta Parkview Health Center in Aneta.

Laura was born June 23, 1924 at Cooperstown, ND, the daughter of Lawrence and Ida (Hogenson) Stenbro. She was raised on her parents farm and attended elementary school at Romness Township #3. She began working as a cook and homemaker at many farm homes in the McVille and Aneta areas. Laura, also known as Irene, lived and worked in the area all of her life. In the early 1980's she retired and moved into McVille. In May of 2004 she became a resident of the Aneta Parkview Health Center.

Laura Irene Stenbro is survived by 2 brothers, Clifford (Gail) Stenbro of Sebeka, MN, and Arthur Stenbro of Great Falls, MT; 1 sister, Florence Finke of Fargo, ND; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Karline Johnson; a brother,

Raymond Stenbro; and also an infant brother and infant sister.

The Memorial Service for Laura Irene Stenbro will be held at the Aneta Parkview Health Center of Aneta, ND, on Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. Officiating will be the Reverend Kenneth Iverson. She will be buried by her parents at the Methodist Church Cemetery, rural Cooperstown, ND.
