John E. Huso, age 84, resident of McVille , ND passed away Saturday, April 4, 2009 at the Nelson County Health System – Hospital in McVille , ND .

John was born May 11, 1924 in Lenora Township , Aneta , ND to Torger John and Cora (Johnson) Huso. He grew up and attended country school near Aneta , ND . He married Elaine Elizabeth Trost on July 20, 1947 in Scobey , MT. After their marriage they lived on a ranch in Montana where John worked as a straw boss. They moved to Aneta , ND in 1957 and started farming. John worked road construction in several different states during the 1960's. In the late 1970's he worked for Wilrich and local farmers. John enjoyed threshing bees, watching cattle auctions and tinkering with any type of farm equipment.

Surviving members of the family are his five children; Terry, Linda Rorvig, Bradley, Reed (Teri) and Keith, all of McVille , ND . 8 grandchildren; Rick, James, Tanya, Griffin , Bryant, Beth, Brent and Savannah . 4 great grandchildren; Thane, Paige, Natalee and Connor.

John was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brothers Curtiss and Thomas.

Funeral services for John will be Thursday, April 9, 2009 at 1:00 PM in the Stanley-Iverson Funeral Home. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 8, 2009 from 4 PM to 8 PM in the Stanley-Iverson Funeral Home.  Officiating will be Reverend Dale Peterson.  Casketbearers will be Rick, James, Tanya, Griffin, Bryant, Beth, Brent, Savannah, Thane, Paige, Natalee and Connor.  Spring interment will be in the Silent Hill Cemetery , Aneta , ND .
