Helen O. Logan, age 88, resident of Tolna, ND passed away Thursday, April 08, 2010 at the Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND.

Helen was born December 14, 1921 in rural Tolna, ND the daughter of Oliver and Bergetta (Thorson) Twete. She was baptized and confirmed at the Sigdal Lutheran Church. She attended country school near Tolna and graduated from Tolna High School. Helen married George Logan on February 26, 1942 in Crookston, MN. They lived in Clark , SD for 32 years where Helen worked as a nurse's aide. They moved to Tolna in 1978. Helen worked for 10 years as a nurse's aide at the nursing home in McVille. George passed away October 10, 1999. Helen enjoyed reading, gardening, quilting and watching high school basketball. She also liked watching animals, camping and visiting with family and friends.

Helen will be missed and remembered by her daughters Kerry (Erv) Huber of Huron, SD, Lou (Bob) Anderson of Crooks, SD and Linda (Brian) Kelley of Rapid City, SD; son Jay Logan of Avon, CO; grandchildren, Michelle (Jeff), Brenden, Chandra (Chris), Devan and April; great grandchildren, Logan and Cade; brother Neil Twete of Tolna, ND and sisters in law “Lollie” Twete of Pekin, ND and Grace Twete of Devils Lake, ND; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, husband and 2 brothers Kearn and Arley.

Funeral services will be Saturday, April 10, 2010 at 2:00 PM in the American Lutheran Church in Tolna, ND. Visitation will be one hour prior to services in the church. Interment will be in the Sigdal Church Cemetery, rural Tolna, ND. Arrangements with the Stanley-Iverson Funeral Home.
