Guy P. Paulson, age 64, resident of Northwood, ND, formerly of Grand Forks and Kloten, ND, died Friday, January 18, 2008 at the Northwood Deaconess Health Center in Northwood.

Guy Peter Paulson was born May 12, 1943 at McVille, ND, the son of Walter and Lillian (Trostad) Paulson. He was raised and educated in Kloten, ND, graduating Kloten High School in 1961. In high school, Guy was active in sports. He was a member of the Kloten Tigers basketball team that reached the State Class C Tournament. He then attended North Dakota State School of Science at Wahpeton to study mechanics. Guy enlisted in the US Army in 1961. He was stationed in Germany, where he was a tank mechanic. He was honorably discharged in April of 1965. Guy returned home and went to work in Grand Forks. He was a local truck driver for Pillsbury and Agsco until health problems prevented him from working. He was a past member of the VFW and the American Legion. While in Grand Forks, Guy was caretaker for Earl Gunderson. Guy moved to St. Anne's Guest Home in 1996, where he lived until 2005 when he moved to the Northwood Deaconess Health Center.

Guy will be greatly missed by his mother, Lillian Paulson of McVille, ND; 5 sisters, Wanda (Dick) Thompson of Ashkum, IL, Ione Dusek of Bloomington, MN, Verna (Robert) Lindvall of McVille, ND, Susan Richardson of West Fargo, ND, and Jayme (Kim) Krsnak of Fargo, ND; 22 nieces & nephews; and 24 great nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Paulson.

Guy's Funeral Service will be held at the McVille Lutheran Church of McVille, ND, on Monday, January 21, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. Officiating will be the Reverend Marli Danielson. The organist will be Kay Moon and the soloist will be Paul Odden. Interment will be in the spring at Valley Grove Cemetery, Kloten, ND. Visitation will be held at the Stanley-Iverson Funeral Home of McVille, ND, on Sunday, January 20, 2008 beginning at 5:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue at the church on Monday, from 12:00 Noon until the time of service.
