Genevieve Leone Jensen, age 85, resident of McVille , ND passed away Sunday, March 16, 2008 at the Nelson County Health System – Care Center in McVille , ND

Genevieve was born October 11, 1922 in Devils Lake , ND the daughter of Carl and Olga (Schjenken) Brudeseth. She grew up and was educated in Devils Lake , graduating from the Devils Lake High School . Genevieve worked at a local department store in Devils Lake . She married Bert Jensen on December 12, 1946 at Devils Lake , ND . The couple lived in Detroit , MI and McVille , ND before settling in rural Pekin , ND . Genevieve enjoyed quilting, crocheting, reading, bird watching and raising sheep.

Genevieve will be missed and remembered by her husband Bert Jensen of Pekin, ND, children, Patsy (Larry) Wold of West Fargo, ND, Glenn (Helen) Jensen of Tolna, ND and Peggy (Elden) Ruud of McVille, ND, Carl (Pam) Jensen of Pekin, ND and Jackie (Scott) Robideau of Bismarck, ND; daughter in law Dee Jensen of Wahpeton, ND; 10 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Myrtle Skurdahl of Devils Lake, ND and Olive Peterson of Bloomington, MN.

Genevieve was preceded in death by her parents, son Owen, sister Alta and 2 brothers, Melvin and Leo.

Funeral services for Genevieve will be Thursday, March 20, 2008 at 11:00 AM in the New Luther Valley Lutheran Church of McVille, ND. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 19, 2008 from 4PM to 8PM in the Stanley-Iverson Funeral Home of McVille, ND and continue one hour prior to services at the church.  Officiating will be Reverend Lynn Kinneberg.  Casketbearers will be Cary Wold, Bob Wold, Todd Wold, Brett Jensen, Robert Ruud & Brandon Jensen.  Special music will be Glen & Jo Ann Sherwood.  Organist will be Margaret Johnson.  Spring interment will be in the McVille Cemetery . Arrangements with the Stanley-Iverson Funeral Home, McVille , ND .
