Doris Ona Bonde, age 91, resident of McVille, ND passed away Thursday, April 30, 2009 at the Nelson County Health System – Care Center in McVille.

Doris was born in rural Ross, ND on August 4, 1917 the daughter of William and Eva (Muck) Weidert. Doris was baptized in the Presbyterian faith at Pleasant Valley by Pastor Alfred Cory. She married Palmer Bonde in 1938 at Stanley, ND. After their marriage they made their home in McVille. Palmer passed away on September 4, 1981. Throughout the years Doris worked at the Friendship Manor, Hotel Café and City Café all in McVille. She was a member of the McVille Lutheran Church and the Women of the ELCA.

Doris is survived by 2 grandchildren, Teri Lynn Amman and Tracy Jo Cromelin; 3 great grandchildren, Trevor, Brittany, and Dakota; sister Lila Moffat of Sandstone, MN; brother Wayne Weidert of Juliaetta, ID.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 sons, Gary and Dennis, 5 sisters, Ellen, Annie, Mabel, Madeline and Ruth, 2 brothers, John and Lynn.

Services for Doris will be held at a later date in the Center Cemetery, rural McVille, ND.
