Darroll Laverne Hanson, age 83, resident of New Rockford, ND, formerly Warwick, ND, died Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at Innovis Health in Fargo, ND.

Darroll was born August 7, 1927 to John and Ella Hanson at Hamar, ND. He grew up and attended country school near Battle Lake. After school he fought in the Korean War where he drove a wrecker and an ammunition truck. Darroll returned home and attended diesel mechanic school in Chicago, IL. Darrol farmed for many years and fixed many broken tractors and machinery in the area. He loved wildlife and enjoyed walking in nature.

Darroll was preceded in death by his parents, 3 infant siblings, a sister-in-law, a brother-in-law, a nephew, and a niece.

Darroll leaves to mourn his passing his brother Myron Hanson of New Rockford, ND, sisters Averiel (Rodger) Enger of Grand Forks, ND and Verna (Earl) Sauer of Sheyenne, ND, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Memorial services for Darroll will be held on Monday, November 15, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the Warwick Lutheran Church, Warwick, ND. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services in the church. Interment will be in the Sigdal Lutheran Church Cemetery, rural Hamar, ND.
