Charles “Chuck” Lane age 67 of McVille, ND died Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at the Nelson County Health System: Care Center in McVille.

Chuck was born November 10, 1942 to Harold and Mamie (Grets) Lane in Prosser, WA. He grew up and was educated in Washington. His family later moved to California where he met Judy Halverson and they were married in San Francisco in 1967. The couple moved to the Tolna, ND area in 1972 where they raised two daughters. Chuck worked for Johnson House Moving of Lakota, ND for a number of years and later was a driver for Brager Disposal of Finley, ND.

Chuck loved tinkering on old cars and in later years looked forward to visits with his grandkids.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Chuck is survived by 2 daughters, Candi (Howard) Ehlers of Tolna, ND and Melanye (Bret) Poehls of Tolna, ND; grandchildren, Zachary, Brandi, Michela, Hannah, Bailey, Parker, and Emma Rose; a sister, Judi (Whitney) Freeman of Kennewick, WA; a nephew, James.

Memorial services for Chuck will be held Thursday, August 26, 2010 at 6:30 PM in the Aaker Funeral Home of Lakota, ND. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
