Charles R. Lovejoy, age 86, resident of Aneta , ND , died Sunday, April 27, 2008 at the Aneta Parkview Health Center in Aneta , ND .

Charles Reuben Lovejoy was born July 18, 1921 in Rugh Township of Nelson County, near Aneta , ND , the son of Preston and Alma (Olson) Lovejoy. He was raised on his parents farm, attended elementary school at Rugh Township #2, and graduated from Aneta High School in 1941. Charles worked for local farmers after graduation. Later he lived in Fargo , ND , working in Moorhead , MN at Fairmont Creamery from 1948 until 1980. He then moved to the family farm. At that time he fell, broke his hip, and moved into an apartment in Aneta. Charles was active in the Aneta Community Church . He enjoyed visiting with his family and friends, and reading his paper.

Charles is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Preston and Alma; 3 brothers, Melford, Robert, and Vernon ; and 2 sisters, Eleanor McCurdy and Ruby Chalmers.

Charles' Funeral Service will be held at the Aneta Community Church on Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. Officiating will be the Reverend Dwain Bates. Music will be provided by Allen & Judy Rusten. Interment will be in the Silent Hill Cemetery near Aneta. Visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday, beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
