Anthony T. Eikom, age 91, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 20, 2010 at the Nelson County Health System-Hospital in McVille, ND.

He was born May 12, 1919, to Torbjorn (Tom) and Margit Eikom at St. Luke's Hospital, Fargo, ND.  He attended country school in rural Hamar area.  Anthony served in the U.S. Army during World War II.  Following his release from the Army, Anthony married Signe Lundberg on April 17, 1946.  They were happily married for 63 years.  Anthony and Signe farmed in the rural Hamar area all their lives.  He was a life-time member of Sigdal Lutheran Church.

Anthony is survived by his daughters, Carol (Albin) Warling of Audubon, MN, Mary (Joel) Eikomstead of Fargo, ND, sons, Randy (Sharon) of Tolna, ND, Roger (Marilee) Eikom of Tolna, ND, and Daniel (Inez) Eikom of Eagan, MN; 18 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Signe, son, Rance, 6 sisters and 5 brothers.

Anthony's Funeral Service will be held at the Sigdal Lutheran Church, rural Tolna, ND, on Friday, June 25, 2010 at 11:00 a.m.  Officiating will be the Reverend David Nichols.  The organist will be Diane Hoveskeland and the soloist will be Stacy Lund.  Interment will be in the Sigdal Church Cemetery.  The casketbearers will be Tony Eikom, Paul Eikom, Seth Eikomstead, Christine Erickson, Floyd Warling, Florence Warling, Grand Tweed, and Darin Hoyt.  Military Honors will be conducted by the Tolna American Legion Post # 162.  Visitation will be held at the church on Friday, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
