Anna Marie Peterson, age 92, resident of rural Binford, ND, died Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at her home in rural Binford, ND.

Anna was born on August 30, 1917 in rural Binford, ND the daughter of Aslak and Gurine (Larson) Osmundson. She was baptized on September 30, 1917 at the West Prairie Church, rural Binford. Anna grew up and attended country school near Binford and was confirmed on September 27, 1931 at the West Prairie Church. She graduated from Cooperstown High School. Anna married Vernon Peterson on November 12, 1939 at the West Prairie Church. After their marriage they made their home in the Binford area where they farmed. Vernon died on June 3, 2001.

Anna was a life long member of the West Prairie Church and the Ladies Aid. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Anna was preceded in death by her parents, husband Vernon, sisters Hulda Reinhart and Ruth Fors, and brother Allen Osmundson.

Surviving members of her family are: 3 daughters, Karen (Richard) Gardiner of Las Vegas, NV, Virginia (Ronald) Grove of Grey Eagle, MN and Phyllis (Larry) Sandvol of Aberdeen, ID; a granddaughter, Bethany (Joe) Gieske of Sartell, MN; grandsons, Paul (Sandy) Grove of Morris, MN, Peter (Angie) Grove of Alexandria, MN, Christopher (Vicky) Grove of Osakis, MN, Timothy (Kristin) Grove of Morris, MN, Aaron (Breck) Grove of Underwood, MN, Nathan (Amie) Grove of St. Joseph, MN, and Joshua (Trisha) Grove of Alexandria, MN; 18 great grandchildren, Jordan, Jacob, and Thomas Gieske, Noah, Anna, and Elijah Grove, Jackson, Ella, and Grayson Grove, Carter, Logan, and Mason Grove, Madelyn, Tyson, and Ian Grove, Kallyn and Max Grove, and Owen Grove; a sister-in-law, Phyllis Osmundson of Cooperstown, ND; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services for Anna will be held on Saturday, July 31, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the West Prairie Church, rural Binford, ND. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Interment will be in the West Prairie Church Cemetery.
