Dorothy Inez Heath, Aneta, ND, formerly of Sharon, ND, died Friday, December 3, 2010 at the Aneta Parkview Health Center.

Dorothy Curry was born August 29, 1909 at Sharon, the daughter of James and Margaret (Maver) Curry. She grew up and attended school in Sharon, graduating in 1928. She worked at Ellingson's Grocery store in Sharon before moving to California in 1941. Dorothy married Raymond Heath in 1943 in Berkley, CA. She later returned to Sharon to make a home with her brother Alexander Curry.

Dorothy served as a trustee on both the Sharon and Cooperstown Church Boards. She was very active in Senior Citizens, and served as a delegate to the Silver-Haired Legislature assembly in Bismarck. She was State Treasurer with the Homemakers Organization. Dorothy served on the Steele County Social Services Board for 23 years.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Heather (Charles) George of Scottsdale, AZ; two grandsons, Gregory George and Kenneth (Angela) George; three great-granddaughters; and five nieces.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Margaret Gannett; three brothers, Charles, Robert, and Alexander; and a niece.
