Pearl Gilbertson, age 91, resident of Binford, ND passed away Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at the Cooperstown Medical Center – Nursing Home in Cooperstown.

Pearl was born March 18, 1919 in Marion, ND the daughter of Tom and Anna (Lere) Torgerson. She grew up and was educated in the Marion area before graduating from Valley City State Teachers College. On November 26, 1943 she married Monroe Gilbertson in Valley City, ND. After their marriage they lived and farmed in Willow Township, rural Binford and later moved to a farm NW of Binford. Pearl taught school in the Binford area for 25 years. They operated Traders Corner in Binford for 8 summers.

They spent 26 winters in Mesa, AZ. Monroe passed away February 24, 2003. Pearl was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Binford.

Pearl will be missed and remembered by her son Thomas (Karen) Gilbertson of Binford, ND; 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Pearl was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 sisters Clara Long and Ruth Rorvig.

Private family services will be held at a later date. Interment will be in the Binford Cemetery.
