Elizabeth Jorgensen Olsgard died of natural causes on October 5, 2010.  She was born February 20, 1916 to Jorgen and Pearl (Tilton) Jorgensen in rural Slope County, North Dakota.  As a girl, she attended church and school in the rural area of Dovre Township.  She graduated from New England High School and attended college in Dickinson and Valley City.  Mrs. Olsgaard taught for thirty-two years in Slope, Hettinger and Griggs Counties, of which 27 years were in Binford where she resided for fifty-nine years.  She married Oren S. Olsgaard in 1939 at Cody, Wyoming.  He died in 1946.  Elizabeth, or Betty as many called her, married Albert Olsgard in 1961.  He died in 1985.

She is survived by daughter, Gale (Allen) Stahl of Grand Forks, ND; son, Orin (Bonnie) Olsgaard of Missoula, MT; brother, Robert Jorgensen of Portland, OR; five grand-children, Michael, Mark, Paul, Rachel & Ingrid; five great grand-grandchildren, Max, Rose, Jesse, Chloe & Katherine; along with many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by son, Myron Wayne; her parents; two sisters and four brothers.

Funeral services for Elizabeth will be Saturday, October 9, 2010 at 2:00 PM in the Trinity Lutheran Church of Binford, ND.  Officiating will be Reverend Marli Danielson.  Organist will be Theresa Fiebiger.  Visitation will be one hour prior to services in the church.  Interment will be in the Binford Cemetery.
