David Alan
“Binford” Sundquist, age 52, resident of Binford, ND
died Friday, May 14, 2010 at Innovis Health in Fargo
after a courageous battle with cancer.
He
was born December 27, 1957 along with his twin sister
Denise Ann to Wallace and Doris (Zabel) Sundquist in
Grand Forks, ND. He grew up and was educated in Binford,
graduating from Binford High School in 1976. David,
known by many as “Binford”, “Sunny” or “Dave” enjoyed
spending time with his family and friends. He had a
contagious smile, liked jokes and wasn't afraid of “Stirring
the Pot”. He was an avid sports fan who followed the
Minnesota Vikings and PBR Rodeo. He spent time fishing
and riding his Harley. Dave worked for the BNSF Railroad
for three decades and will be missed by many.
Dave
will be remembered by his daughter Janae (Ryan) Geiger
of Mandan, ND; brothers Michael of Fargo, ND and Charles
of Storrs, CT; sisters Denise (Wayne) Tenneson of Halstad,
MN, Mary (Jerome) Bristol of Bondurant, IA and Jeanine
(Mike) Barclay of Fargo, ND; special friend Char Lewis
of Cooperstown, ND and her sons Chad ( Savannah ) and
Nathan (Lindsay) and his daughter Hailey; along with
several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Dave
was preceded in death by his parents.
A
celebration of Dave's life will be held Friday, May
21, 2010 at 11:00 AM in the Trinity Lutheran Church
of Binford, ND. Visitation will be Thursday, May 20,
2010 from 3PM to 7PM with a prayer service at 7PM in
the Cooperstown Funeral Chapel and continue one hour
prior to services in the church. Interment will be in
the Binford Cemetery. Arrangements with the Cooperstown
Funeral Chapel.
