Alfred C. Eggermont, 69, resident of Detroit Lakes and Audubon , MN , formerly Valley City and Binford , ND passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at St. Mary's Innovis Health in Detroit Lakes . Alfred was born May 22, 1940 at Binford , ND the son of Christ and Irene (Young) Eggermont. He attended school at Addie Township Country School and Binford High School . He married Mavis Erickson July 31, 1960 in Valley City , ND . He worked for the Mayville, ND, Valley City , ND and Audubon , MN Police Departments. He drove milk truck and grain trucks and farmed. He loved hunting and fishing.

Alfred is survived by his four brothers William (Lavira) Eggermont of Tower City, ND, Clifford (Dianne) Eggermont of Cooperstown, ND, Raymond Eggermont of Valley City, ND and LeRoy (Loretta) Eggermont of Binford, ND. One sister Marie Pelzman of Fargo , ND . 17 nieces and nephews.

Alfred was preceded in death by his parents Christ and Irene Eggermont, One brother-in-law Ralph Pelzman and one grandniece Brandi Teeuwen.

Funeral services for Alfred will be Monday, July 20, 2009 at 11:00 AM in the Cooperstown Funeral Chapel.  Officiating will be Reverend Cheri Danielson.  Casketbearers will be Ron Eggermont, Shawn Eggermont, Kevin Eggermont, David Eggermont, Christ Pelzman, LeRoy Eggermont, Jr., Henry Zimprich and Glenn Erickson.  Visitation will be Sunday, July 19, 2009 from 5 PM to 7 PM with a prayer service at 7 PM in the Cooperstown Funeral Chapel. Interment will be Monday, July 20, 2009 at 2:30 PM in Memory Gardens , Valley City , ND . Memorials are preferred to the American Diabetes Association.
