Mavis Ann Adrian,
age 74, resident of Binford, ND passed away November 21, 2007
at the Cooperstown Medical Center - Hospital in Cooperstown.
Mavis was born November 18, 1933 in Cooperstown, ND and was
raised by Albin and Agnes Saxberg. She worked for Punch &
Mary Hovel in Jessie, ND before her marriage to Paul Adrian,
Sr. on March 17, 1950 in Valley City, ND. After their marriage
they lived and farmed in rural Binford until moving into Binford
in May of 1986. Paul passed away October 2, 2002 . Mavis mowed
yards in Binford and worked at the senior center. She was
a member of Bethany Free Lutheran Church and was very active
in the ladies aid. Mavis was a Sunday school teacher for many
years. She enjoyed reading, gardening, cooking, and spending
time with her family.
Mavis
is survived by her 4 daughters; Ginny (Carmyn) Lykken of Larimore,
ND, Cindy (Jerry) Tufte of Glenfield, ND, Sue (Dean) Thompson
of Mabel, MN and Cathy (Landis) Quam of McHenry, ND, 2 sons;
Odell (Nancy) Adrian of Grafton, ND and Paul (Diane) Adrian
of Binford, ND. 22 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren.
2 brothers; Arnold (Judy) Saxberg of Cooperstown, ND, Arden
(Nita) Saxberg of Cooperstown, ND. 6 sisters; Esther (Warren)
Peterson of Finley, ND, Leona Tande of Binford, ND, Eunice
Papenfuss of Glenfield, ND, Velma Miller of Eden Prairie,
MN, Helen Fallen of Cooperstown, ND and Diane (David) Bickerton
of Grove, OK, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Mavis
was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one grandchild
Paul Holweger.
Funeral
services will be Monday, November 26, 2007 at 1:00 PM in the
Bethany Free Lutheran Church in Binford, ND. Officiating will
be Reverend Lynn Kinneberg. Special music by Wayne Oien.
Casketbearers will be Wade Tufte, Tyler Tufte, Brent Adrian,
Sam Leadens, Blake Leadens, Carson Quam, Mike Farrell, Tony
Farrell, Paul Farrell, Will Farrell, Adam Adrian and Andy
Adrian. Visitation will be Sunday, November 25, 2007
from 4PM to 7PM with a 7PM prayer service in the Bethany Free
Lutheran Church in Binford, ND. Visitation will continue Monday
one hour prior to services in the church. Interment will be
in the Binford Cemetery.
