Frances Mary Savre, age 92, resident of Cooperstown , ND passed away Friday, May 30, 2008 at the Cooperstown Medical Center – Nursing Home in Cooperstown . Frances was born October 4, 1915 in Pembina , ND the daughter of Joseph and Hilda (Breimon) Fritz. She grew up and attended school in Pembina before moving to Cooperstown with her family in 1933. She married Avery “Moonie” Savre on September 9, 1939 at Finley , ND . The couple started farming in the spring of 1946 near Cooperstown and retired from the farm in 1970. They spent the next several years pursuing different opportunities in several locations before returning to Cooperstown . Avery passed away February 8, 1990 . Frances enjoyed living in the country, walks in the woods and her animals. She liked crossword puzzles, gardening and baking.

Frances loved spending time with her family and friends; she will be missed and remembered by her two sons Donald (Jean) Savre and Raymond Savre, both of Cooperstown, ND; 5 grandchildren Jason, Preston, Ramie, Jessie and Sara; 7 great grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandson Avery, sister Irene and 2 brothers Leonard and Leo.

Funeral services for Frances will be Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at 2:00 PM in the Cooperstown Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 3, 2008 from 3 PM to 7 PM in the Cooperstown Funeral Chapel. Interment will be in the Cooperstown Cemetery on Saturday, June 7, 2008 at 2:00 PM . Memorials are preferred to the Cooperstown Medical Center . Arrangements with the Cooperstown Funeral Chapel.
