Alna M. Vincent
of Hannaford, ND, passed into the Lords hands on August
15, 2011, after a long battle with pancreatic cancer.
Alna
Marion Larson was born December 16, 1930 to Andrew and
Mary (Aslakson) Larson on the family farm, rural Binford,
ND.
On
September 24, 1950 she was united in marriage to Calvin
A. Vincent at West Prairie Lutheran Church, rural Jessie,
ND.
Alna
was a member of Faith Lutheran Church of Hannaford,
Faith Women's Circle and the Altar Guild. She enjoyed
her flower gardens, embroidery and all animals. After
her own children were grown she loved attending her
grandchildren's sporting events. Alna also began working
for the Foster Grandparent and Senior Companion programs
until her health no longer permitted.
She
is survived by her husband of 60 years, Calvin. Four
children; David, Owen and Becky (Daniel Iverson) all
of Hannaford. Barbara (James Heinze) of Dazey. Grandchildren;
Nick (Kelly), Timothy, Heather ( Jordan ), Chad and
Paul (Sarah) Vincent, Alecksy and Jesse Iverson and
Mara Heinze. Great grandchildren; Madison, Chloe, Macy,
Jocelyn, Cole, Peyton and Nora.
Alna
donated her remains to the UND School of Medicine, Grand
Forks, ND in hopes it could be of use for research and
training.
She
was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers Arthur,
Oriel and Helmer, 4 sisters Evelyn, Marcella, Bernice
and Lavain.
A
celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, August
23, 2011 at 11:00 AM in Faith Lutheran Church of Hannaford,
ND. Officiating will be Reverend Jessica Merchant.
Organist will be LuAndrea Haugen.
