Allen G. Osmundson, age 82, resident of Binford, ND passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2008 at the Cooperstown Medical Center - Hospital in Cooperstown.

Allen was born on December 15, 1926 at McVille, ND to parents Aslak H. Osmundson & Gurine Larson. He was baptized and confirmed at West Prairie Lutheran Church of rural Jessie, ND where he was a lifetime member. He attended nearby rural schools, and lived his entire life on the home farm in Willow Twp, Griggs County, ND. On June 12, 1983 he was married to Phyllis Larson Ronningen at Zion Lutheran Brethren Church in Cooperstown.

Allen is survived by his wife, Phyllis & her 3 children, Barry (Donna) Ronningen, Judy (Henry Zimprich) Ronningen and Leslie (Dawn Erickson) Ronningen, 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, sister, Anna Peterson, along with several nieces, nephews and their children.

Allen was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Hulda Reinhart and Ruth Fors and one step grandchild.

Allen has donated his body to Medical Science at UND. Burial will be held at a later date in the West Prairie Cemetery. Arrangements with the Cooperstown Funeral Chapel.
