Agatha T.
Wright, resident of Cooperstown, ND passed away suddenly
on Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at Sanford Health in Fargo,
ND at the age of 81.
Agatha
was born September 22, 1929 the daughter of Francis
and Susan (Ninneman) Blesener. She graduated High
School and Business College, soon starting secretarial
work at Zeigler in Minneapolis. There she met
her husband to be Claire Henry Wright and they married
January 16, 1954. The couple moved to Cooperstown,
North Dakota to manage the Windsor Hotel for Claire's
parents for about 10 years. After that time they
purchased the Wright's Furniture store. In 1968 they
closed the furniture store and moved to Bremerton, Washington
where they worked for Sherwin Williams Paints. The
next year they were transferred to Sherwin Williams
in Aberdeen, Washington as managers until 1977.
They opened their own family paint store (The House
of Color) which they operated for 29 years retiring
in 2006. Agatha moved back to Cooperstown in 2009
where she enjoyed playing cards, visiting and seeing
all her old friends again. She especially loved
living at Southside Apartments with her special friends
who quickly became her extended family. Agatha
also enjoyed getting to know her Great Grandchildren.
She
is survived by her daughter Mary (Darrell) Michaelis
of Hannaford, ND, daughter Jeanette (Peter) Brunzie
of Aberdeen, WA, son William (Becky) Wright of McCleary,
WA, daughter Shirley (Dean) Burmeister of Peoria, AZ,
and son David Wright of Cooperstown, ND; 9 grandchildren
and 6 great grandchildren.
Agatha
was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, two
brothers, husband Claire and daughter Julie.
A
Funeral Mass will be held Monday, July 18, 2011 at 11:00AM
in St. George Catholic Church, Cooperstown. Visitation
will be Sunday, July 17, 2011 from 5PM to 7PM with a
7PM prayer service in St. George Catholic Church, Cooperstown.
Officiating will be Father Richard M. Fineo. Organist
will be Sherri Fiebiger. Special music will be
Sonja Haaland-Johnson & Melissa Johnson. Interment
will be in St. George Catholic Cemetery, Cooperstown.
