Wayne Johnson

Wayne O. Johnson, age 72, resident of Lakota, ND, died Saturday, April 2, 2011 at Rosewood on Broadway in Fargo , ND .

Wayne Orville Johnson was born August 5, 1938 in Emo , Ontario , Canada , the son of Orville S. and Evelyn (Daw) Johnson. He moved to the U.S. in 1944 and graduated from Lakota High School in 1957. Wayne married Mary Jane Loften in 1965. Wayne married Diane Solberg Beauchamp in 1983. He owned and operated Lakota House Movers for over 50 years with his father and later partnered with his son Daniel in 1989. Wayne retired in 2007.

Wayne will be greatly missed by his wife, Diane; 7 children, Daniel (Melody) Johnson, Donna Clauson, Rendina Johnson, Jason Johnson, Michael (Kylie) Johnson, Nancy (Christian) Skogen, and Jeff (Shannon) Beauchamp; 11 grandchildren, Drake, Jack, Corina, Rachel, Cassandra, Dereck, Brandon, Christopher, Kale, Ozzie, and Lexi; 2 great-grandchildren, Landon and Kelby; 2 brothers, Dale (Heather) Johnson and Dennis (Bonnie) Johnson; 2 sisters, Myrna (Bill) McHugh and Marlene (Will) House.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and grandson, Drake Rainey.

Wayne 's Funeral Service will be held at the Lakota Lutheran Church , Lakota, ND, on Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. Officiating will be the Reverend Sue Mackey. The organist will be Karen Fowler and the soloist will be Garth Rydland. Interment will be in the Lakota Cemetery. The casketbearers will be Christopher Johnson, Brandon Johnson, Kale Longtine, Dereck Clauson, Preston Sundeen, and Randy Keitzman. Visitation will be held at the Aaker Funeral Home of Lakota on Tuesday, April 5, 2011 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and will continue at the church on Wednesday, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
