Vivian E. Orseth, age 87, formerly of Fargo and Lakota, ND, died Saturday, September 6, 2008 at Haven Homes of Maple Plain, MN.

Vivian Estell Boostrom was born January 12, 1921 on a farm near McVille, ND. She married Ole Orseth on October 16, 1943 in Lakota, ND. They lived on a farm near Lakota until they retired to Fargo in 1998. Vivian died Saturday, September 6, 2008 in Haven Homes.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ole, and her son, Bob.

She is survived by 3 children, Cheryl (Tom) Schmidt, Plymouth, Minnesota, Jim Orseth, Houston, Texas, and Judy (Doug) Robertson, Coral Springs, Florida; a brother, Lysle Boostrom, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Vivian's Funeral Service will be held at the Lakota Lutheran Church on Saturday, September 13, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. Officiating will be the Reverend Joel Westby. The music will be provided by Monica Winter and Tanya Kemper. Interment will be in the Lakota Cemetery. Casketbearers will be Doug Robertson, Peter Schmidt, Sarah Schmidt, Kate Orseth, Meri Orseth, and Maggie Orseth. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday, beginning at 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
