Ruby M. Langton, 98, formerly of Lawton ND, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 24, 2011 in Pueblo West, CO.

Ruby was born May 3, 1913 in Luverne, ND to Frank and Sadie (Catlin) Meader. She married Mark Langton on October 26, 1932. They lived in the Lawton area where they farmed with their 5 sons and their families. Mark and Ruby spent winters in Mesa, Arizona and always returned home to Lawton for the summer. Ruby was active in the Lawton community, senior citizens, and Lawton Lutheran Church WELCA. Ruby enjoyed painting, gardening, crafts, and the outdoors especially fishing.

Ruby M. Langton is survived by her children, Marrion (Evelyn) Langton, Scappoose, Oregon, Lola Schneiberg, Tygh Valley, Oregon, Kenneth (Sherry) Langton, Pueblo, CO, Wayne Langton, Gravios Mills, Missouri, Claude(Evonne) Langton, Pelican Rapids, MN/Mesa, AZ, Keith (Kathy) Langton, Laguna Niguel, California; daughters-in-law, Vernae Trudeau, Kathy Langton, and Betty Langton; son-in-law, Paul Hettervig; 32 grandchildren; 46 great grandchildren; and 5 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; her sisters-in-law, Eula and Geri Meader; also her closest and dear friend, Thelma Negaard.

Ruby was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Laddie; daughter, Phyllis Hettervig; son, James; grandson, Scott Nelson; granddaughter, Penny; sister, Ruth Lloyd; brothers, Ray and Francis Meader; and daughters-in-law, Patricia Langton and Laura Langton.

The Funeral Service will be held at Lawton Lutheran Church, Lawton, ND, on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be in the Lawton Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Aaker Funeral Home, Lakota, ND, on Tuesday beginning at 5:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue at the church on Wednesday, from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service.
